Students should speak to their undergraduate advisor for more information.

On average, the MUSC College of Pharmacy admits approximately 60% in-state (SC residents) and 40% out-of-state for each incoming class. The fall 2023 entering class was made up of 51% out-of-state and 49% in-state. The fall 2024 entering class was made up of 58% in-state students and 42% out-of-state. The fall 2025 entering class was made up of 59% out-of-state and 41% in-state. We do not set a limit on the number of out-of-state candidates that are offered admission. Out-of-state candidates will receive the same tuition rate as our in-state/resident rate.

Interviews are by invitation only. Our on-site interviews include an overview presentation by the Associate Dean for Admissions & Student Affairs, a campus tour and student life presentation by student ambassadors, and multiple mini-interviews. Our virtual interviews include the same, with the exception of the campus tour. Students that choose to participate in a virtual interview will be given the option to tour campus at their convenience with a student ambassador.
